TGSRTC to issue notification for 3,038 posts soon: Minister Ponnam Prabhakar

Hyderabad: Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has announced that the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) will soon fill 3,038 job positions. He expressed his satisfaction with the commencement of the recruitment process at the RTC after a considerable hiatus.

In a statement here on Sunday, the Minister revealed that the State government has granted approval to proceed with the hiring of these 3,038 positions. A notification will be released shortly, and the recruitment process will be expedited.

"Under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the Congress government is facilitating free travel for women on RTC buses, which has significantly increased the number of female passengers. To date, 165 crore women have traveled for free on RTC buses, resulting in savings of Rs5,500 crore. The Corporation has also acquired new buses to support the implementation of the Maha Lakshmi scheme, and the RTC is now prepared to fill its vacancies," Ponnam said.

Among the total of 3,038 job openings, 2,000 are designated for drivers, followed by 743 for laborers, 84 for Deputy Superintendents (Traffic), 114 for Deputy Superintendents (Mechanical), 25 for Depot Managers/Assistant Traffic Managers, 18 for Assistant Mechanical Engineers, 23 for Assistant Engineers (Civil), 11 for Section Officers (Civil), 6 for Account Officers, 7 for General Medical Officers, and 7 for Specialist Medical Officers.

Since taking office in Telangana, the Congress government has filled over 60,000 positions across various departments. Now, a significant job announcement featuring 3,038 vacancies will soon be made. The Minister encourages unemployed youth to seize this opportunity and prepare accordingly.

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Batti Vikramarka for the long-awaited recruitment of new positions within the RTC.
